Marin is a Design Partner at Gradient Ventures.

He believes that design should be one of a startup's core competencies. From product design, to finding the right market fit, to hiring and scaling design teams - he works with Gradient's portfolio companies to help them tap into their fullest potential. As an AI-focused designer, he thinks a lot about how technology's capacity for good is reliant upon designing trusted interactions.

Marin found his way to Palo Alto via stops in many places. (He's originally from Croatia, by way of The Netherlands. It's a good story for over coffee sometime.)

Before Gradient, Marin led visionary projects at Google, G-Star Raw, and Nespresso. He also founded his own startup and worked at smaller, venture-backed companies as the creative leader and design do-er. He holds degrees is design, engineering, and business, and has studied in the US via the Kauffman Scholarship. He shares a few interests with the prototypical Bay Area resident: exploring the outdoors, experiments in cooking, and of course, a (very) well-made espresso.
